IMPRINTS is a print making art experience that uses found objects as meaningful symbolism and expressive story telling. A group of wonderful, creative women who are human trafficking survivors came together to create. They were asked to reflect on an object of their choice to represent them. The symbolic objects were used in a playful painting/ printing exercise. The women were asked to share why they chose their object and how their work expressed the new mark they wish to leave on the world. Through art, they could express their own uniqueness, vibrancy, and truths that every person is capable of creative strengths and deserves healing.
Clarity Ohio teamed up with two other fantastic human service entities to create this experience. Freedom a la Cart and Franklin County CATCH Court specialized docket are both leaders in our central Ohio community who support and empower survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation. Through these programs, survivors create a pathway to healing and freedom.
